Maybe BurkeMaybe Burke (she/her) is an artist, educator, author, and public speaker with over a decade of experience changing and opening minds through storytelling. She is interested in telling the stories that haven’t been told, and passionate about helping people unlearn the ways they’ve been taught to think.
Maybe is an award-winning writer and one of the co-authors of I ❤️ Orgasms, the latest gender expansive sex ed book on pleasure and intimacy. Her solo show, Love Letters to Nobody, earned her the Fresh Fruit Spirit Award for Fostering Pride, Survival, History, and Progress as well as a nomination for the 2018 Doric Wilson Independent Playwright Award. Maybe also won the Fresh Fruit Festival's 2015 Short Play Contest with her first short play, Do You Want Me To Stop?, which then received a Fruitie for Outstanding Ensemble. An excerpt of the play was included in the second installation of Necessary Exposure: The Female Playwright Project. As an educator, Maybe speaks all over the country, in person and virtually, about gender and sexuality. She has given keynote speeches, facilitated workshops and trainings, and spoken on many panels. This work has taken her from BroadwayCon to TEDx, from High Schools to Universities, and from small non-profits to large corporations. Maybe is also a sex educator with Sex Discussed Here! Serving as the Artistic Associate of Honest Accomplice Theatre, Maybe founded The Trans Literacy Project, in which she collaborated with trans artists, advocates, and activists to produce accessible videos that address questions about and complexities of trans and non-binary experiences. As an actor, Maybe has been seen on Netflix, Hulu, and Comedy Central, and has been seen on stage at 54 Below, Joe's Pub, Lincoln Center, Cherry Lane Theatre, Ars Nova, and more. |
Camille LimongelliCamille Limongelli (she/her) hails from New Jersey but proudly calls the North Fork home. With a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, earned magna cum laude, and a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling with honors, Camille brings a wealth of academic achievement to her work. With over 20 years of dedicated advocacy and activism for marginalized communities, her journey began at a young age and has evolved into a focused commitment to serving the LGBTQ+ community.
Currently serving as a Healthcare Navigator at the Edie Windsor Healthcare Clinic in Hampton Bays, Camille plays a pivotal role in providing essential care and support to LGBTQ+ individuals. Her past involvement on the board for PFLAG underscores her dedication to fostering understanding and acceptance within communities. Camille has led numerous programs and support groups catering to LGBTQ+ individuals of all ages, including older adults, youth, and families. Camille has been an integral part of producing Pride events across Long Island, including contributing to the inaugural North Fork Pride. Beyond direct service, Camille is passionate about education and allyship. She conducts training sessions within schools, libraries, and healthcare centers to cultivate better understanding and create safe spaces for LGBTQ+ individuals. Outside of her professional endeavors, Camille finds solace in her role as a wife and mother, cherishing moments spent exploring the North Fork with her family. As an avid reader and bookworm, she enjoys diving into literature during her free time. |
Suzie MarriottSuzie Marriott (she/her) is the Chief Nursing Officer and Senior Vice President of Patient Care Services at Stony Brook Eastern Long Island Hospital in NY. Her nursing career spans over 28 years in numerous healthcare environments in administrative, clinical, advanced practice, and policy development positions. Suzie has a Master’s in Forensic Mental Health from the University of London, UK, a Bachelor’s in Nursing from the College of Mount Saint Vincent, NY, and a Certification in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from the University of Surrey, UK. She also holds an ANCC Board Certification in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing. Suzie is currently a PhD candidate in the Nursing program at Stony Brook University School of Nursing.
Suzie has expertise and a long-standing clinical interest in suicide intervention. She is an Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) Trainer and Co-Chair of the Suicide Postvention Committee within the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at Stony Brook University. She is active in the American Psychiatric Nurses Association (APNA), serving as Chair of the National Administrative Council, a member of the APNA Staffing Taskforce, which produced the APNA Staffing Position Paper in 2023 and held various APNA NY Chapter board positions. Suzie was the recipient of the 2020 APNA RN Excellence in Leadership Award. Suzie identifies as queer and serves as a member of the Stony Brook University Hospital LGBTQ Committee. |
Aaron Watkins-LopezAaron Watkins-Lopez (he/him/they/them) is a community organizer who has fought for LGBTQ Rights and safe spaces for over 15 years. Throughout his high school and college careers, he helped start three GSAs, volunteered at PFY in Bellmore and marched in LI Pride in Huntington.
Aaron is the Operations Manager at Setauket Presbyterian Church (SPC). Previously through his work for Long Island Jobs with Justice (LIJWJ), he advocated for bus transportation across Long Island and upstate, effectively lobbying for over $10 Million in additional transportation revenue in both Nassau and Suffolk counties. In 2015, he was appointed by the Nassau County Legislature to become the 1st openly queer man to sit on the Nassau County Bus Transportation Committee. Currently, Aaron sits on the LGBTQ Advisory Board for the Suffolk County Executive, working with LGBTQ residents and advocates from across the county to increase county support and visibility of the LGBTQ community, and is on the steering committee for The Kids' Hangout, a grassroots organization founded to provide a safe and comfortable space for LGBTQ kids and their allies in our community. |
Meagan BambergerMeagan Bamberger (she/her) was born and raised on the south shore of Long Island. She left the island to attend SUNY New Paltz, where she received her Bachelor's in Sociology and returned to the island to attend Stony Brook University where she received her Masters in Social Work.
Meagan is currently a licensed social worker who work with adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. She is a passionate advocate for vulnerable populations and continues to work towards providing comprehensive and equitable services for the people she works with. Meagan lives in Riverhead, where she is very involved with the community. She sits on the Board of Directors of Queerli to create safe spaces for queer people on the East End of Long Island, as well as the lesbian non-profit organization North Fork Women. |
Michelle DemetilloMichelle Demetillo (they/them/she/her) was born in Brooklyn, raised on Long Island, and currently resides in Wading River in the Riverhead township with her fiancée Anjelica and their two spoiled cats, Smudge and Luna.
Michelle brings a diverse skill set encompassing DEIB (diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging), human services, and non-profit development. They are committed to implementing impactful initiatives and experiences while cultivating strong community relationships and business partnerships. One of Michelle’s most gratifying endeavors has been the founding of Queerli, a non-profit organization dedicated to establishing safer spaces for the LGBTQIA+ community. Through Queerli, Michelle collaborates with like-minded individuals, volunteers, and businesses to foster more inclusive environments throughout eastern Long Island. They sit on the Board of Directors of the lesbian non-profit organization North Fork Women and on the Patchogue Pride Parade Committee. |
